that's napa, sonoma, santa rosa. livermore, right around the freezing mark. fremont and concord, close to that 32-degree mark. radar is dry. cbs 5 hi-def doppler showing nothing out there. it's been that way for a week, really for the entire month. look at the rainfall for santa rosa. a foot of rain in december. now january, where did it go? a half an inch and none coming for the next five or six days, because the big ridge of high pressure we've been talking about hasn't moved. so the forecast is not going to change. the high has to move. and it's not. canada, not us, not the bay area -- if anything, it's going to move closer to us over the weekend, increasing the temperature by two to four degrees. we will stay degree. nights will stay chilly. but the afternoons are going to be mild. everybody gets into the 60's tomorrow. mainly dry pattern is going to be with us for a while. highs tomorrow, san francisco, 57 average. livermore, you're average is 56 tomorrow. and san jose, 66 tomorrow. gilroy will be warm as well. santa cruz, 70's for the second straight da

livermore, fairfield napa, santa rosa before freezing. san francisco mieder, 44. fremont, 36, vallejo 35, so baby steps back to normal temperatures buzz been chilly. san jose 34 and livermore an average low over the past seven days of 30 degrees. radar is clear with that big dome of high pressure over top of us. we're going to stay clear on cbs 5 high deaf doppler for awhile, and this is a huge ridge of high pressure about a thousand miles offshore not coming down until you get to eastern montana and north dakota. that's a big ridge and going to be centered -- this is key it's going to be centered right over top of us over the next couple of days. that means slowly the atmosphere will continue to warm. some of you will hit 60 degrees tomorrow. most of us will get there on thursday. once we get there the temperatures aren't going to move much. we will be above normal for much of the next week once we get there tomorrow. the amps will get milder and will be somewhere close to 60 degrees just about every day for the next week so tomorrow we're back to normal. average

waking up tomorrow at napa, 43 degrees. radar is clear. that's the key. but about 0 moisture to work with, taking out the rain chance for widespread showers on sunday. the weekend now looks mainly dry. snow pack decreasing, the top of the month it was 136% or 36% above normal. now it's 3% below normal, so if things are decreasing in the sierra, then we won't get much rain here. we're getting rain in southern california. that's the upper low that got us yesterday in san jose and livermore with half an inch of rainfall. now it's far away from us. we didn't get that moisture. we look the other direction to the north to see what's going on. there's the front that's going to move through, so we have the boundary, we have the lift in the atmosphere. we don't have the moisture to work with. without moisture you're not going to get rainfall no matter how strong the lift is. we cool off with an isolated shower or two, that's. it we're going to stay dry. speaking of n this is going to come -- speaking of this, this is going to dominate our weather next week, very c
